Tour of the Scottish Borders
Many historic sites in the Borders include Melrose Abbey, Jedburgh Abbey, Hadrian's Wall, and Thirlstane Castle.
Over the "other side" of Hadrian's Wall you can visit Bamburgh Castle, the interesting and indeed amazing castle with
thousands of years of varied history.
Relatively nearby is Lindisfarne, sometimes known as the Holy Isle, or The Holy Isle of Lindisfarne, this tranquil and
breathtaking island can only be accessed via a causeway which is only passable at low tide, so is separate from the
rest of the world twice every day. Check the tide times before crossing!
